Database Administrator

- Deep understanding of Relational databases, NoSQL databases, and Cloud databases - Extensive experience with SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting - Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and index management - Proficiency in backup and restore strategies, disaster recovery planning, and high-availability configurations (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability Groups) - Solid experience with SQL Server security best practices, including user roles, permissions, and encryption - Experience with monitoring and maintenance tasks such as database integrity checks, index defragmentation, and database replication - Experience with Windows operating system and Windows clustering technologies - Understanding of Cloud computing concepts and solutions, including public, private, and hybrid cloud - Knowledge of migrating databases from on-premises to cloud environments - Experience with Linux operating system with proven experience in supporting database systems running on Linux - Strong, proven, demonstrable experience with advanced scripting and automation development using shell scripts (Bash), Python, Powershell - Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar - Experience working with MySQL database - Experience with GIT/GitLab or any other version control tools

3- + years of experience with database administration - Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, and ability to write clear technical documentation - Excellent problem-investigating, analyzing, and solving skills - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues quickly and effectively - Ability to focus while under pressure and pay close attention to detail - Familiarity with other database systems, such as PostgreSQL, or MongoDB - Familiarity with Google data stores such as Cloud SQL, BigQuery - Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar - Experience with database clustering and replication technologies - Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines
