Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a Data Scientist who can apply strong AI expertise by using machine learning and data mining to prototype, develop, and integrate AI models. The data scientist will collaborate with business partners to build AI products end-to-end: from opportunity creation and design to testing and integration. The Data Scientist will also work closely with the head of AI analytics to establish the organization’s AI Center of Excellence (CoE). The role requires a broad skillset for creating AI models and a proven ability to lead projects stand-alone. - Leverage expertise in analytics, statistics, machine learning, causal inference, and research design to help drive innovation through the effective identification and application of analytics - Establish the company’s development principles and techniques together with the head of AI analytics - Coordinate product development with business and CoE leadership - Guide and mentor junior colleagues, be an advocate and promoter of the company’s development principles and participate in recruitment for the AI CoE

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field like computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics or related field required; advanced degree preferable - 5+ years of hands-on mathematical modeling experience in a business environment - Experience in leading data science teams is preferable - Extensive experience in machine learning, statistics, and optimization across a broad range of models and techniques - Expert quantitative analysis, programming, and data manipulation skills using Python and version control (GitHub, Stash) - Experience working with large data sets, especially in cloud environments, and relational databases - Experience implementing advanced analytics/data science models into a production environment - Experience building multistep ETL jobs and data pipelines and working with job-scheduling systems preferable - Experience building causal inference solutions is preferable
