Responsibilities
- Ensure cooperation with international organizations in the field of combating ML/TF and the proliferation finaning of weapons of mass destruction (PF). Participate in meetings, represent the RA’s interests, and complete relevant questionnaires
- Facilitate cooperation and information sharing with foreign financial intelligence units
- Oversee the implementation of targeted financial sanctions as defined by resolutions of international organizations
- Coordinate with domestic bodies and present Armenia’s AML/CFT system in other international organizations
- Assist in developing strategies for combating ML/TF/PF and support the implementation of the national risk assessment
- Review changes and updates to international standards related to ML/TF/PF and, if necessary, propose their integration into the Armenian legal system
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department
Required Qualifications
- Higher education in Law, Economics, or International Relations
- At least 2 years, with 1 year preferably in the field of combating PL/AF and 1 year in international organizations, public administration, or the private sector
- Knowledge of international documents and domestic legislation related to combating ML/TF/PF
- Understanding of international typologies and trends in ML/TF/PF
- Familiarity with financial system legislation
- Knowledge of general economic theory, accounting, and statistics
- Excellent proficiency in Armenian, English, and Russian
