Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js with a focus on scalability and performance - Design and implement RESTful APIs to integrate front-end applications and third-party services - Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality software - Write clean, reusable, and efficient code while adhering to development best practices - Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges - Work with SQL/NoSQL databases to design schemas, write optimized queries, and ensure data consistency - Participate in code reviews to uphold high-quality coding standards - Continuously explore and adopt new tools, technologies, and development practices to drive improvement
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js - Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) with a solid understanding of asynchronous programming - Experience with frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS for building RESTful APIs - Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and query optimization - Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows - Basic understanding of containerization tools like Docker (preferred but not required) - Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and debugging techniques - Experience writing unit tests with tools such as Jest or Mocha to ensure code reliability - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug effectively - Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset - Understanding of software development best practices, includin clean code, modular design, and performance optimization
