Senior Data Engineer

- Leverage deep expertise in building data pipelines to acquire, ingest, and transform big data sets to support the development of AI products - Create and manage data environments, ensuring information security standards are always maintained Contribute to R&D and internal asset-development projects - Guide and mentor AI professionals, advocate and promote the company’s development principles, and participate in recruitment

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field like computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics or related field required; advanced degree preferable - 5+ years of hands-on mathematical modelling experience in a business environment - Experience in leading data engineering teams preferable - Experience in data pipeline software engineering and implementation of best practices in Python: linting, unit tests, integration tests, git flow/pull request process, object-oriented development, data validation, algorithms and data structures, technical troubleshooting and debugging, bash scripting - Experience preparing data for analytics and following a data science workflow in Python - Experience working with large tabular data sets in cloud environments and relational databases - Experience implementing advanced analytics / data science models into a production environment - Experience building multistep ETL jobs and data pipelines and working with job-scheduling systems preferable - Ability to communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly and concisely to audiences at various levels - Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with multiple business stakeholders - Experience coaching data professionals preferable
